I totally relate to that feeling, Michelle. When your head is exploding with ideas and rather than going straight toward them... you're not sure what to do! It's so easy to get lost in the fog and caught up in the details. Why? Because the big picture can be SCARY! Love your three examples -- each one is really powerful. If you focus on the difficult side, you can scare yourself even more. So flipping the coin takes a bit of effort since it's not our automatic reaction, but it's totally worth it!

Scary, Scary, Scary!

This came at just the right time, as I'm feeling a lot of stress & fear around finishing my life coaching classes (this week!) & embarking on making coaching my full-time job. It's entirely up to me, & I have so many ideas they all cloud my head & sometimes render me actionless. So, I'll flip the coin with ya:

1. Feeling scared that I won't be able to "make it" & support myself as a life coach -> feeling excited that, finally, I can create my own destiny without a real estate broker or a casting director getting in my way!
2. Feeling like there's not enough time in a day -> feeling like each day is what I make of it, & giving myself some breathing room is just as important as hitting the books/blog/marketing plan/newsletter/etc.
3. Feeling worried that my pricing is too high & nobody's gonna buy what I'm selling ->embracing that I'm worth every penny, & I'll be more of an asset to my clients - & live up to my potential - by not undervaluing myself.

So happy you liked the post, Julie! Don't spend any of your precious time thinking of non-responders -- it can really drive you crazy and zap your positive energy. Bright side here we come :).

Carolyn,

I'm so glad that I inspired such an inspiring post. : ) It's funny that you wrote this today, though, because I myself have been having a "dim side" kind of day. I think today I need to focus on the bright side and I also really need to think about what I'm putting out into the world instead of obsessing about how people are responding (or not responding) to me.
