What will you do with your blank canvas?

Blank Canvas

New week. New ritual.

The New Ritual: Begin each week with a blank canvas.

Last night, I caught myself journaling about all the negatives that occurred over the past week. While helpful for me to release those negative thoughts, I ended the week on a pretty sour note. Feeling overwhelmed and tired, I started to think about how I could turn the start of the week into a new beginning — a fresh start… a blank canvas.

Just switching my mindset and the words I used completely transformed my overall outlook.

Now, what shall we do with our blank canvases?

I was recently introduced, by a friend, to your group site (SPRING) and I have fallen in love with it!

I admire the clarity in which you express yourself (even though you call it rambling)! You’re a wonderful writer, orator, and your advice inspires me as well as encourages a sense of calm. :o)

I’ve been reading books that encourage living ‘in the now’ and to find your inner peace and follow your own path — but, while I know it’s true, it just won’t CLICK. I’m still trying to make ‘living in the now’ a daily endeavor, though!

Anyway, I saw the picture on this post and it made me think of my life. I’ve lived most of it according to the expectations of other people, even to the point of sacrificing my own desires/dreams. I’ve only recently started to break free of that.

Basically, I feel like that blank canvas — surrounded by color. And I want to paint. *LOL*

That (my jibberish above)…is what one could call rambling. ;o) Anyway, thanks again for inspiring me!
