  • New video is live on Spring! During the month of March, we are talking about one hot topic: MONEY! The second video (of four) is focused on this question: How do you determine your worth & be comfortable charging it? Personally, I find this question difficult and really enjoyed the conversation about this topic – a true, authentic discussion. I hope you’ll watch the video and chime in with a comment!

  • Be sure to check out some of my personal favorite organizing books in my Amazon Book Store. I recently added this store to my blog and want to mention that I do earn a tiny referral fee of 4% if you purchase a book from my store. I have personally read every book that I include in the store so it’s a genuine list of “favorites.” [Note: I will always disclose if I'm an affiliate for a product.]

Thanks for all those wonderful links Carolyn :)

I am big on the organizing, I notice that I find it really hard to concentrate if the space around me is cluttered, especially my desk.

Thanks for sharing the video :)
Determining my worth has always been a hard topic, I guess it really depends on the confidence and knowledge that I have in my field. That’s why its so important to learn something new whenever I can. But money is always a tough topic for me when it comes to charging someone, especially if you know them.

I am the same way. I always resisted it though. I thought it was crazy or some avoidance tactic to need to organize/clean off my desk before working. However, without the structure and organization, I tend to feel lost and focus more on what’s scattered around me.

I recently read Style Statement by Carrie McCarthy and Danielle LaPorte and found a great quote about “structure” that resonated with me (or made me feel less neurotic!). Kim Christie, a photographer, said in the book: “For me to jazz with energy and ideas, everything – from my day planner to my exercise and meditation regime – has to be structured. The structure is what supports the magic. It is in fact, what feeds it.”

I am so happy you enjoyed the Spring video on $$. We have two more videos on the topic in March and discuss charging someone – especially those you know. I think you might find it helpful :). Determining one’s worth in monetary terms is incredibly hard. But never doubt your worth – print the last post, The Hustle for Worthiness, as a daily reminder :).

Love your openness to discuss this topic and hope to expand more about this in discussion and later posts! Your comments always spark new thoughts for me.

Carolyn, Thanks so much for including my little shop in your list of organising links! I am addicted to organising, particularly in my own workroom and office. As you say, if things are untidy there, I have trouble focussing on work to be done, until it is all neat and tidy again.

Love your blog, I have added it to my favourites list – I think I will be very inspired by reading your posts.
