What is a Discovery Session?
A discovery session is a one-hour consultation call that helps you collect your ideas and form an action plan. Utilizing this action plan will empower you to manifest the change you want to see. The session includes a pre-call Discovery Questionnaire and an after-call Momentum Guide.
Who is a Discovery Session for?
A Discovery Session is for people who have lots of ideas, but need help sorting them through so they can actually do something with them.
Below are some examples of things you might want to discover:
- How to move forward, rather than remain stuck during a period of change.
- How to challenge life-as-usual.
- How to do what you love without sacrificing your career/academics/relationships.
- How to publish, write, and/or market a book or product.
- How to create a new beginning and jumpstart the change you desire.
How, exactly, does a discovery session get you moving?
The call with Carolyn helped shine a light on where I am and what I need to do next. The Discovery Questionnaire alone pushed me to look more deeply at myself and then talking through the results with Carolyn made me realize both how well I am already doing, and lots of possibilities I hadn’t thought of before. I am clearer, more focused, and equipped with a plan and resources to help me move forward.
I’ve designed the experience so that you can begin inner change work before we even get on the phone.
The Discovery Questionnaire helps you uncover exactly what you want to focus on, while creating a “big picture” overview for both you and me. You will learn more about yourself through this questionnaire – it’s not filled with your typical yes/no/maybe inquiries. Many individuals find that simply completing this questionnaire is highly beneficial in helping them take the first step forward. Through the inquiry process, we often gain clarity.
Discovery Sessions are conducted over the phone for 60 minutes. On the call, we will focus on 1–3 primary areas of interest or questions. I provide input and guidance as well as questions to help you learn ways to discover and innovate on your own. Each call is tailored to your unique needs.
The Discovery Momentum Guide contains resources and tools to help you maintain momentum after our Discovery Call. Along with this guide, you will receive a MP3 recording of the Discovery Call.
During this process, you will gain the clarity, structure, information, and inspiration you need to make the changes you seek. Every bit of the process is tailored for you — what works for someone else may not work for you.
However, creating this type of inner and outer change can be difficult on your own — that’s why it’s my preference that we work together for three sessions. We’ll space the calls out about every two weeks, so we’ll be working with each other for roughly a month. You won’t be on your own, and we can cross unforeseen hurdles as they come along.
Why work with me?
I am a natural born discovery maven. I have been helping people actualize their dreams since the age of 14. I learned very early in life the power of passion to challenge life-as-usual. And for the past 11 years, I have utilized passion to achieve amazing success, such as starting a non-profit organization for children with cancer and writing my first book while in college. After graduating from college, I published and marketed my book, Perseverance, and have started a PhD program in Clinical Psychology at Harvard. This journey has provided me with a unique ability to help individuals discover how to live a life filled with passion, regardless of the circumstances.
Whether creating and sustaining a non-profit or writing and marketing a book, I’ve seen the entire journey of manifesting an idea or vision. I know what it’s like to be at the very beginning, when even the first steps seem unclear and overwhelming. I’ve been in the middle, when it seems too far to go back and almost too far to continue. I dealt with the chaos of the final stretches, when the goals seemed so close but there were a million details spinning all around. Wherever you are in the process of bringing your idea to fruition, I can empathize, because I’ve walked a similar path.
Whether it’s through sharing experience or providing guidance, I am passionate about helping individuals live a life they love. I will support you and cheer you on when the going gets rough. Together, we will sort through the possibilities and the maybes and the could-bes. Here’s how the process works…

There is no entrance exam to pass or secret code you must obtain in order for us to begin working together. Simply follow your intuition and be confident in yourself. You already know if a Discovery Session is the catalyst you need at this point in your life.
- Purchase your session(s) using the buttons below.
- After purchasing your session(s), you will be directed to an online Welcome Guide that includes your Discovery Questionnaire and a link to schedule your call online for a time that works best for you.
- You will complete the Discovery Questionnaire and submit it to me at least 48 hours prior to our Discovery Call.
- After you submit the Discovery Questionnaire, I’ll review it in detail so that I can guide you through a constructive, effective, and focused call.
- After the call, I’ll compile and deliver the Momentum Guide (including the MP3 recording of our conversation) to you within 72 hours. At that time, I’ll also make a suggestion for when we should talk next if you purchased a package of 3 sessions.
During our first Discovery Call, we will focus on determining your big-picture goals and needs. Together, we will clarify what exists between where you are now and where you want to be, working to bridge the gap between your reality and your vision. We will then discuss action steps that you can take after our call and determine when you would like to schedule future sessions to maintain momentum, create accountability, and troubleshoot any hurdles along the way.
After our first Discovery Call, the paperwork is complete! You won’t receive an additional questionnaire prior to subsequent calls. We will jump on the phone and hit the ground running. You will receive an MP3 recording of each call within 72 hours of our session.
