Happily Answered Questions

As you explore the blog, you might come up with a few questions. Here are a few that have been asked before. (Have others? Let me know!)

Q. Why is the blog called “A Beautiful Ripple Effect”?

ABRE InspirationI found the inspiration for the blog title in a passage from Christine Mason Miller’s book, Ordinary Sparkling Moments. The passage reads, “When we focus our energy towards constructing a passionate, meaningful life, we are tossing a pebble into the world, creating a beautiful ripple effect of inspiration. When one person follows a dream, tries something new or takes a daring leap, everyone nearby feels that energy, and before too long they are making their own daring leaps and inspiring yet another circle.” You can download that passage and accompanying artwork from my Worksheets & E-Books page (look for “Blog Inspiration”).

Q. What is CCC?

CCC ScholarshipsI founded Carolyn’s Compassionate Children, known today as CCC, in 1999. I’d just spent a week volunteering at Camp Sunshine, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses, and I wanted to help alleviate the isolation so many of the kids there had described. So I created CCC, which began as a pen pal program linking children with life-threatening illnesses to their “healthy” peers. Four years later, while navigating my own college search, I realized the lack of financial resources for young adult cancer survivors. CCC’s College Scholarship Program was created to help address that need. Today, CCC is the premier source of financial information for college-bound cancer survivors. Want to learn more? I invite you to visit CCC’s website.

Q. What is Spring?

SpringWhen I talk about Spring, I’m not usually talking about the season! Spring is collaboration between me and three other creative and passionate individuals. With Inspiration as its core theme, Spring explores designing a life you love from very unique perspectives. It inspires creative entrepreneurs to focus on the journey rather than on the final destination alone. It is both a hub for celebration of successes and an advocate for providing inspiration when you feel disappointed or journey feels stalled. Spring believes and demonstrates that when seeking to live a life with inspiration in full bloom, there is no box into which you must fit, no right way or method, and never just a single path you must follow.

Q. Where can I buy your book?
